KORPIKLAANI, WOODS OF YPRES, AHAB Confirmed For NOCTIS II – THE AGE OF DARKNESS METAL FEST

Finland's premier folk metal act KORPIKLAANI will make its first appearance on North American soil by headlining the Noctis II – The Age of Darkness Metal Fest, set to take place Saturday October 4 at University of Calgary’s MacEwan Hall Ballroom in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Also featured will be underground Canadian black/doom/folk metalers WOODS OF YPRES in a rare Canadian appearance. The German funeral doom metal band AHAB will also make its North American live debut. Rounding out bill will be support from folk/heavy metal act VERBAL DECEPTION, and pagan black metal band DARK FOREST, both well known Calgary metal acts; and BEGRIME EXEMIOUS, black/death metalers from Edmonton, who return to the scene after a short hiatus and a lineup change. The metal fest will also introduce URHEIMAT, an experimental black metal act from Calgary featuring brothers Zack and Sheldon Smith and members of DARK FOREST, NEBUCADNEZZER and I DIE SCREAMING.

Doors to the MacEwan Hall Ballroom will open at 5:30 p.m. with band performances taking place from 6 p.m. until midnight. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 at local ticket outlets and online at www.noctisvalkyries.com and at the door for $20. This is an all-ages event.
